Noodle Pudding

Peanut Butter Cookies

Snitz Pie

Sponge Cake

 

Noodle Pudding - (delicious, I tried this)
  • 1 pkg medium noodles - cooked till 1/2 done and drained.
  • Melt 2 sticks of oleo
  • Beat:  4 eggs
  • Add 1 cup of sugar and beat
  • Add 1 cup of milk and beat
  • Add melted oleo and beat
  • Add: 1 pt. cottage cheese, 2 teasp of vanilla and 1 cup of sour cream.
    Beat all ingredients
  • Add this to the noodles and mix by hand
  • Put in a 9x13 pan and cover with foil
  • Place on cookie sheet and add water to cookie sheet
  • Bake at 350 deg for 1-1/2 hours.
  • Eat warm or cold.

1 cup shortening 3 cup flour
1 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 teasp salt
1 cup brown sugar 2 teasp soda
1 cup white sugar 1 teasp baking powder
2 eggs 1 teasp vanilla
  • Cream shortening and peanut butter
  • Add sugar and continue to beat
  • Add eggs, vanilla, and beat until fluffy
  • Sift dry ingredients
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture
  • Mix thoroughly
  • Chill dough in refrigerator several hours
  • Shape dough in balls, press flat with potato masher
  • Bake at 375 deg for 12-15 minutes
  • Makes 2-1/2 to 3 dozen cookies

2 unbaked pie shells 9-in 1 cup sugar
2 tablsp lemon juice 1/2 teasp. cinnamon optional
3 heaping cups snitz (dried apples slices)            pieicon.gif (1037 bytes)

Cover snitz with water and let soak overnight.   Cook just until soft; then force through a sieve.  Add sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon to that mixture.

Pour into two unbaked shells.  Over with a top crust.  Seal edges.  Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.  Turn down oven to 350 deg and bake 30 minutes more.

 

 

Sponge Cake
Sift together:
1 cup flour 1/4 teasp salt
Beat together until mixture is thick and lemon colored.
6 eggs separated 1/2 cup sugar
1 teasp vanilla 1 tablsp lemon peel
Beat till frothy
6 egg whites

Add tartar beat slightly.   Add remaining sugar gradually.  Continue beating until rounded peaks are formed.
1/2 cup sugar 1/3 teasp. cream of tartar
Fold in egg yolk mixture and egg white mixture.  Add flour mixture in thirds.  Folding until well blended.
Pour batter into ungreased 9 in. tube pan.  Bake 325 for 50 minutes or until top springs back.  Invert pan and cool completely in pan.
